This tradition of opening a fast is rooted in religious teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who is quoted as saying: “When one of you is fasting, he/she should break his fast with dates; but if he cannot get any, then (he/she should break his fast) with water, for water is purifying.
What’s included in the box
- Ajwa – Our ajwa dates are dark brown in colour, almost black, and hails from the Al-Madinah al-Munawarah region in Saudi Arabia’s west, and are known for their softness, freshness, and high price on the Kingdom’s date market.
- Amber – Amber is a soft and fleshy dry variety of date fruit from Saudi Arabia. It is cultivated in Madinah and is well renowned for its size as it is the largest of the Madinah dates.
- Kalmi – Our special variety of Kalmi dates grown in in the Al-Madina region of Saudi Arabia. Kalmi dates are also called as Safawi in Saudi Arabia. Kalmi dates are known for their flavour and texture. Firm and filling, these dark coloured dates are a delight to eat. Dates can be chopped and used in sweet dishes, however, Kalmi is far better eaten as is because of its incredible taste and texture.
